Don Flanagan is a business solutions architect and operations management executive having successfully grown four start-up businesses from incubator stage to multi-million dollar revenue generating entities through growth strategies, effective business planning and creative sales techniques. A sharpened executive in business development, market assessment and clientele portfolio management, Don launched a Boston based Public Affairs and Issues Management Company. Within four years the company expanded from a one-man operation to a nationally recognized entity with dozens of high profile clients. Don’s Public Affairs Company was consistently recognized as the number 1 “Lobbying” company in Massachusetts, by the Boston Business Journal.
Don has a comprehensive understanding of security measures and technology needs within the law enforcement community. For over 20 years, he served as government relations counsel to some of the largest interests in corporate America and has represented both technology and manufacturing companies seeking to enhance Public Safety, Defense and Homeland Security. Former clients include Airborne Law Enforcement Association (ALEA), L-3 Communications, Lockheed Martin and Finmeccanica. For 17 years, he served as Chief Government Counsel to the State Police Association of Massachusetts and also represented the National Troopers Coalition.
Don also worked with United States DOD classified matters designed to protect high value military targets against terrorism. Don deployed military defense and nuclear security force protection and critical asset protection systems throughout the Middle East and U.S. Don holds a B.S. and B.A. from Northeastern University and an MPA from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. In July 2012, Don was awarded the coveted U.S. Navy SEAL “Paddle” for his enduring support of U.S. Navy SEALs and Special Operations Forces.
