Cass County Sheriff Leads County Wide School Safety Initiative
IN FORCE911 Enables School Staff to Communicate Directly with Local Law Enforcement During an Emergency

Media note: Sheriff William Brueggeman is available for print, media and radio interviews. In Force Technology CEO, Brandon Flanagan is available via telephone, Skype or any Boston television satellite studios.

Plattsmouth, NE – Cass County public schools will soon have instantaneous, two-way access to local law enforcement thanks to the deployment of an advanced software tool that enables faculty, staff and administrators to communicate directly with the Sheriff’s Office and the local Police Department in the event of an emergency or security breach.

By partnering with Massachusetts-based In Force Technology Inc., the school districts of Cass County will soon be equipped with the IN FORCE911 software service for all devices, including mobile devices, like smartphones and tablets. The software is proven to significantly reduce police response time to a school and it’s particular classroom location during a critical event at a school, while addressing the communications gap that unfortunately exists during active shooter incidents.

It is a software tool that school officials, deputies and the developers hope is never needed, however through the active leadership of Sheriff Brueggeman, Cass County Public Schools believe that this level of preparation and sophistication could provide a vital link between those inside a school building and those rushing to help, when seconds count.

“IN FORCE911 provides an immediate link to law enforcement that allows educators to contact them in quite literally seconds, compared to minutes.  The alert provides police with invaluable information and actionable intelligence which will continue to reduce the time necessary to eliminate the threat,” said In Force Technology CEO, Brandon Flanagan. “In these situations, the sooner the good guys show up, the sooner the event ends – which means seconds truly equal lives!

“The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce Nebraska’s first partnership with the IN FORCE 911 school safety and security software product that will dramatically reduce law enforcement response time to an active threat and enhance communication between those experiencing the threat and with first responders.  Cass County is taking this extra step towards enhancing school safety because the threats of school violence have not diminished across the country.  IN FORCE911 has partnered with hundreds of school districts around the nation, and now will work with Cass County to provide the safest environment possible for students and staff.”

During an emergency, the IN FORCE911 app is instantly sent to the local dispatch center, police cruisers and cell phones of deputies and officers with specific information, including the room of threat origin. The alert opens a real-time, two-way chat portal enabling school staff to communicate details of a threat, or description of a suspect to first responders. Additionally, first responders are provided integrated access to floor plans, security camera feeds and other emergency information to create a safer, more effective, and efficient response.

IN FORCE911’s “Reverse Alert” feature allows Cass County law enforcement officials to instantly alert school officials of any imminent threats in their area, such as a police pursuit in progress, domestic custodial dispute, bank robbery or severe weather alert. This function eliminates the need for law enforcement to call each individual building, creating a more streamlined communication process.

ABOUT IN FORCE TECHNOLOGY, INC.

In response to the escalation of targeted acts of school violence throughout the country, In Force Technology developed IN FORCE911 to enhance school safety and security and save lives! IN FORCE911, a software-as-a-service mobile panic button, dramatically reduces police response time to any critical event, while bridging the communication barrier between those experiencing the threat with first responders.  Recognizing that it takes anywhere from 2-4 minutes to effectively route an initial E-911 call, IN FORCE911 alerts first responders in just four (4) seconds while equipping first responders with mission critical data and actionable intelligence to enable a more efficient, effective, and safer approach to a building under threat.
